It has been our pleasure to have worked with Lake Coloring to create a whole new set of coloring book for the ios app! When we first discovered the app, we thought that Desti would be a suitable candidate to create some art for it. And from then on, here we are!
There are twelve artworks in total featuring cute critters in charming Sylvanian Family situations. It certainly isn't our usual anime art though!
When asked about it, Desti's response was as followed:
When given the opportunity to draw for Lake Coloring, I considered how I can create something more fitting with the existing artworks already within the app. I wanted to create something that will be easy and fun for beginners to start trying their hands at coloring.
I was inspired by the novel The Borrowers which features a miniature family living their lives. I think Alice in Wonderland also took that idea and added even more whimsical qualities. One of the images I created for this coloring book also pays homage to Alice in Wonderland.
