Mafloum is not like any other festival, it's a weekly festival, movies are shown every Sunday evening.
Who is eligible to participate?
- Workers in filmmaking and audiovisual productions from all countries, including filmmakers, directors, video editors, photographers and other workers who want to participate in this experience, whether professional or amateur, who have practical experience in any of the production or creative sectors, even if they have little experience.
Movie length: All films are acceptable: long, short and medium.
Film genre and technology: unspecified (fiction - documentary other...) (animation - camera others...)
Language: Not specified, all languages are welcome. If the films are written in languages other than Arabic and English, it is preferable to include a translation file in English or Arabic.
Conditions and preferences:
1-The film must be made specifically for participation in the Mafloum Festival to ensure the spontaneity of work and preserve the idea of random film. The filmmaker has the right to release and dispose of his film at will.
2-The film should contain a story, in other words, it shouldn't just be a film, a pure video art or an editorial video, it should be a film with a story or conflict.
3-The picture and music used in the film must either be (original): specially made for the film, vedios and music should either have no copyright claim, or be royalty free - public domain so that YouTube and Facebook not blocking the movie.
4-It is preferred that the film (working time) has a maximum period of three hours and was made a maximum of two weeks before the date of the show to preserve the idea of spontaneity and making.
5-It is forbidden to speak positively or negatively in movies about squirrels.
6-Movies must be sent before 6 pm every Sunday so we have time to release them.
7-Maazoul Network has the right to play the movies on all its platforms (Youtube - Facebook - Instagram) and others. The filmmaker has the right to show his movie wherever you want. We have no authority or ownership of the films we will be playing during the festival, so every Sunday, movies will be kept on Maazoul Network platforms except in special cases (for example, the filmmaker wants the film for an important reason from the Maazoul platforms).
To participate you can send your films to Maazoulnetwork@gmail.com and title the email with the Mafloum FastFilm Festival and a little explanation about the films in the text of the mail is desired.

Mafloum is a fast independent film festival based on films made spontaneously and with simple preparations. In Mafloum, we try to select films made by professional filmmakers or professional multimedia production staff who want to make fast films and test this experience and try to create a big space for new filmmakers and people who are interested to express yourself through movies.
Mafloum started as the network of Sunday Night Film Maazoul and we tried to work on a fast-made film every Sunday evening.
In Mafloum, we try to escape the rules and subtleties of production as well as the cinematographic codes and templates of the film and image industry in general, as far as possible, and focus with a little randomness and fast-made films of simple stories, to be free from execution pressure. by maintaining the productive level and testing our cinematic instinct and instinct of story telling
