Background:
When I started at BookMyShow as an interaction designer one of my first projects was to work on the mobile site where the aim was to give the users an app-like experience since a substantial number of mobile users were on the browser.
Objectives
1. Redesign the navigation
2. Optimise the booking flow
3. Help increase occupancy on weekdays
Navigation
Since a majority of the customers were booking movies I decided to make that the default option for all users when they land.

An idea to highlight weekdays with sponsored offers to try and boost occupancy. The target audience assumption was students, young professionals and price sensitive customers.
Prototype
To make the website look and feel more app-like it was important that it behaved in a similar fashion. Here is an intro prototype to demonstrate that.
