Dubliners
I wanted to take on the exercise of photographing people I meet on my daily walks in Dublin. For this set I was inspired by James Joyce's Dubliners. Over a hunded years have passed since the publication of his collection of novels and Dublin has undergone multiple changes. The Dubliners, though, are the same people whose fates were described by Joyce: in this collection of photographs I wanted to try my take on narrating the same themes found in "Dubliners". Hopes, dreams, missed escapes and yet the stillness of Dublin, a city that, for good or for worse, keeps its inhabitants trapped in itself.
