SharePoint Online IT Hub Re-Design
Problem: There is a large number of sub-departments and teams that reside under the Information Technology Hub. Currently, there is no organizational structure or hierarchy for the content that is presented there. Our business partners don't know where to find important content and our colleagues don't understand the logic of content placement on the site.
Solution:
Define the types of information contained in the site.
Define the buckets in which the content types fall as it relates to end users.
Define the audiences that need to access the site contents.
Define the path we want the end user to take to get to the information they need.
Feedback:
Solution was well received by each target group it was presented to. The apprehension was around keeping the content fresh once it has been organized and surfaced to the end users.
Action:
Pilot of design with a target group of users for further analysis.
