Washington D.C.'s  9:30 Club has become world renowned as a medium sized club with fantastic sound and great sightlines, but it's origins were very different. Born in the early 80's, the 9:30 was witness to the birth of punk rock and new wave as well as acts such as Minor Threat, the Bad Brains, Dag Nasty, Fugazi, and countless others. This is a story about those early days told by the people on both sides of the stage and behind the scenes. Featuring interviews with Ian Mackaye, H.R. from Bad Brains, Peter Buck from R.E.M. 9:30 F Street was a featured presentation at the 2005 AFI Silverdocs festival, selling out two night back to back.
