Icebergs are melting due to global warming putting the oceans at risk, that is why I chosen an Iceberg an inspiration to the theme – “Preservation of the Oceans”.
This piece main structure will be made of 925%0 Silver as it is the best material to “come to life“ the ice in its reflecting essence.
The body of the iceberg will be carved in wax before being taken to de forge, to best capture the cracks and sculpted nature of the iceberg.
It will be hollower in the back, symbolizing the fragile state of the environment and of the icebergs.
The central gem will be made of glass with the colour of blue topaz, symbolizing its fragility.
