Digital Imagery from Analog Photographs

This work was made in Tokyo, and worked out as a mixed media compilation. First I took these analog photographs in Tokyo and Osaka and worked these into a graphical Mangastyle photobook called MO KARI MAKKA ? (Did You Make Any Money?). These books were printed in Antwerp, in a limited edition of 100 books.

'MO-KARI-MAKKA ?' ('Did you make any money today ?') Business people from Osaka greet each other with this line. The Yamanote metroline circles around Tokyo and completes a loop in 61 to 65 minutes, a daily routine synchronized as a clock for most of the salarymen in Tokyo.

Next thing I did was capturing digital images of the project with a kaleidoscopic lens in front of my camera. Well, just take a look underneath and check it out what you like more.

If you want to take a look at the MO KARI MAKKA? photobook,
it's also embedded beneath here.
