The styling project

The Styling project
Flat lay styling and food styling
This project was done during the Covid-19 lock down as a part of an assignment, thus it helped in thinking inside the box ! Here, as there was no option of sourcing I made use of whatever available at home. All pictures were clicked on Google Pixel.
An atmosphere of a Dance bar with multiple alcohol brands and some bites. There is an empty glass thus showing that the glass is yet to be poured.
I depicted Payasam in a very south Indian way. There is a Kanchipuram cloth and the lamp with a few ingredients garnished along.
A writer's work space aesthetic
A messy picnic atmosphere where a half read book is there with all other essentials like makeup, flowers, perfume etc around. The pearl necklace and the entire setup shows that this belongs to a girl and in a bigger picture she might be sitting around.
This is an old school writer’s atmosphere with a typewriter on the one side of the composition and camera on the other side. There are books and papers around along with an old picture. It also has a few old coins, watches and glasses showing that person just left the working space as it is.
The Bath & Body Works body lotion gives a very soft mood so I tried a monochromatic theme to depict the feel of the product. I used the Russian dolls in the side as they give a very ornamental touch.
This shows a packing atmosphere. One can see passports, Travel magazines, papers, brochures along with clothes, wallet, organizer, gadgets, watches etc which are all essential for travelling. The background of the picture is a map and there are yarns pointing directions.
The Aloo puri is composed along with lassi and Aachar. All the dishes are circular for uniformity. The spices are placed on the wooden table along with Lemon.
A ruffled white top is paired with a denim dungaree dress and a black and golden sling bag. The outfit is paired with brown loafers. The background complements the roughness as well as elegance of the dungaree dress.
The Pani puri is a street dish but here it is depicted in an elegant way. The puri is in the front with the filling and the pani is in transparent small glasses behind. The front part is garnished with some Sev just like the puri.
The Kadai consists of chicken biryani garnished with some leaves and lemon. The background is a rich golden and blue colored fabric which has spices spread around on them. The side is curd seasoned with chilli powder.
Behind the scenes (Everything was done in either natural light or torch lights)
The best part of the project was that I explored every single thing possible at home and had help from my family. I got to explore people's perspectives of seeing a single design and how every part of it is unique.
