If you were to ask me to describe some of the best work I’ve done so far, it would be hard to chose one project. But I could definitely pinpoint a time in my career I feel proudest about. A time I faced great challenges and worked tirelessly with a dream team to achieve extraordinary things. It’s when my own agency Design Tonic pitched and executed the "Your moment is here" campaign for MAGIC, the most influential trade show in fashion. It became so much more than a statement; it changed their business.
Instead of competing with the niche satellite shows that feature emerging designers, we worked with MAGIC to create their own, in multiple categories across their fashion market week. The idea of being part of the moment was now a reality for designers just starting out. It hugely increased the buzz factor for MAGIC and upped their street cred with buyers, press, and exhibiting designers. Our work on that idea extended into all aspects of the MAGIC Market Week experience – brand identity, advertising, exhibit design, event production, publications and PR. The branded exhibits we helped execute extended to Streetwear, Premium Men’s & Women’s, Contemporary Women’s, and Women’s Luxury.
