Y-3 CH1 REFLECTIVE BACKPACK
When I started my footwear journey in Y-3 last summer, I wasn’t expecting to start working on accessories and even more, designing them. But sometimes opportunities appear and it’s good to be challenged to do something different and learn new things during the process.
The CH1 Reflective backpack is offering a new elevated look for Terrex running backpack through the lens on Y-3.
Inspired by sports and craftmanship, it's crafted from black lightweight fabric with a reflective front panel that ensures you stay visible in low-light conditions. Mesh back and shoulder area with reflective underlay offer breathability and visibility. In addition to the big main pocket, the bag introduces removable and convertible pouch as well as chest pocket inspired by archery.

"For 20 years, Yohji Yamamoto has been lending his eye to Adidas in the form of the Y-3 collection. Over that time, Yamamoto has built almost every type of athletic-casual garment. Because he was so early to ink a partnership with a sportstyle brand, few give him any credit—or at least not as much as he deserves. Back after a short hiatus, Y-3 has returned to fashion week. Inspired by the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the fall 2020 collection fuses together traditional sport elements with a lifestyle appeal.
Only Yamamoto isn’t drawing from soccer shorts and basketball jerseys like other designers. The sports he cites throughout his men’s and women’s collections are: archery, urban night running, fencing, judo, BMX, and gymnastics. “In many ways, the collection symbolizes the coming together of seemingly disparate worlds, as our partnership has always advocated for, by pioneering, the connection between tailoring and sportswear,” Mr. Yamamoto wrote over email.
