This project is inspired by الشافيات novel by Abbas Beydoun. Among the various narratives Abbas addressed in his novel, I was mainly captured by thestory of his relationship with his grandmother since theylived together.
As I, too, reside with my grandmother, I wanted toreflect implemented notions and narratives around our food table through a narrated self portrait photography project of me and my grandma.
