Just another personal illustration attempted for practice on Illustrating as well as exploring a bit into typography. This chair was everywhere when I was growing up, and sketching this gave so much Nostalgic feelings. So I just had to complete it to find out how it would turn out.
From the initial sketches to color choices, it was a great process which I enjoyed. I tried my best to discover the right way to showcase it, which would invoke that feeling of Nostalgia.
Initial color combinations just reminded me too much of a resort beach chair than the classic chair I had my mind stuck on. Initially I tried to do a color variation, but later realized that it was the amount of stripes and the lack of colors that wasn't reflecting my vision.
But I am happy on how the process led me to the final piece.
