Buddhist Morning Offering

Buddhist Morning Offering
I grew up in a quite Buddhist family, but I have long considered myself an atheist. The challenge was to wake up 6AM because I am in no way a morning person. I planned to finish this in the first few days but I couldn't get up.
The camera used is Olympus OM-D EM10 with manual focus lens, Mitakon 25mm f0.95.
Since the lens is manual focus, aperture is not recorded.

I got up at 6AM to take a 30 minute drive to my cousin's house. His place is by the Prapa canal so there is this one monk who rows a tiny boat for morning offering every morning. I hoped to get 10 pictures, but the monk was faster than I thought. He is great at paddling.

This is the last chance. My mom and I drove around as we don't know the spots for the food offering. These are mostly shots of monks we passed by.

The first monk we encountered. He walks while the helper is following with a bag on a bike

The next group was two monks. I want to capture how the sky looked so I took it a bit darker.

The monk was leaving.

I saw him smoking so I asked if I can take a picture. He threw the cigarette away immediately. There was even a no smoking sign in the temple. Another shot was of him changing into more formal dress.
This project is done for Photography class at CommDe, Chulalongkorn University.
