Microsite + Game

HP ZBook Studio x360 is a Hardwarezone SG Presents’s project that required me to design and build a three tab microsite which includes information on the product, users testimonial, as well as a simple play & win word search game.
Microsite
Other than understanding the brief and the materials client have provided, I would also have to consider from user point of view how they will be able to navigate and get the utmost experience out of this site. One of the consideration was how to plan the reading flow of the content given, so that users will be able to get to know about this product quickly in a glance without reading through long paragraphs of text. The challenge for this was that certain placement might work when viewing on bigger screens, while not displaying ideally on smaller screens. On top of planning the visual flow and content placement, I explored various ways to animate simple effects throughout the site such as content sliding and/or fading in and out as user scrolls.
Word Search Game Interface
With the help of the developers, I was also given the chance to participate in designing the word search game tab in consistent with the theme. I was not only involved in designing, but also the front-end HTML/CSS developing stage.
Digital Ad-Units
This project also requires various ad-units to direct more traffic flow to the site such as leaderboard, page skinner, billboard, etc. The challenge is to design within smaller and limited dimensions while keeping the look and feel from the site. I would also need to animate the banners via Google Web Designer.
