All humans will experience smiles and frown during their loan of time on this earth. Privilege can be illusion. What appears to be outwardly functional and happy can be inwardly broken and sad.
Equality? or Prosperity?
Is equality a worthy goal or does the pursuit of prosperity make more sense? If all people struggle, do we really want the struggles equal to someone that just looks prosperous? Do we want equality to hardship? Or do we all just want prosperity?
Meet this once Florida gentleman who chose not to share his name that is now homeless in North Carolina. He states that his life once was filled with promise which included being happily married. The once Florida resident further states, with teary eyes, that he misses his wife and has no idea if he will ever see her again.
Meet Derek a homeless displaced construction worker age 26. This young man lost his job due to COVID-19 eliminating business which cost him gainful employment. Derek is very well spoken and a socially alert young American. Do you thing these two men are concerned with being equal in their struggle space to just survive?
Or do you thing each human being is more concerned with obtaining prosperity?
The white homeless man above actually lived in this home? Do you think the Black Homeless man would want a home equal to this?
What if the white homeless man above owned this vehicle? Do you really think the black homeless man would want a vehicle equal to this?
Or do you think both men would enjoy the comforts this type of transportation and prosperity instead of being concerned about being equal to the vehicle picture above if one owned the rusted truck?
Again, do you think both men would enjoy the comforts of prosperity over being equal to each other if one had a decade home?
After taking the time to speak to both homeless men and enjoying an in depth conversation oddly enough neither men stated a concern regarding equality. They both just wanted prosperity 🤷🏽♂️... Did the white man look privileged?

Equality? or Prosperity?
When looking at the perception of privilege it make sense to keep in mine "The Struggle" doesn't discriminate and lurks for us all. Skin color, religion, gender or even the mate one chooses will not make any of us exempt.
If all people struggle, do we really want the struggles equal to someone that just looks prosperous? Do we want equality to hardship? Or do we all just want prosperity?
We should be beefing with COVID-19 and the greedy monster that probably made it, certainly not each other. Ask yourself, ARE U READY FOR THE STRUGGLE?
