LEMON & JINJA
Logo Design for a Romsey-based zero waste startup company. Lemon & Jinja is a waste & packaging free store venture, freshly set up by Jess & Grace Dugdale - sisters who have been traveling around the world, and got inspired to start their business after a visit to Africa. Jinja (pronounced 'ginger') is a town based on the historic source of the Nile in Uganda.
For their logo I came up with the simple concept of mixing the recycling-logo with visual elements of a lemon, which has gotten us here;

“ ‘This Is Laz’ and ‘Lemon & Jinja’ fell upon each other by chance and we couldn’t have been happier. Without much information on the business or its background, he came up with the idea of the lemon with the recycling symbol around it.
For us it is perfect – clear, concise and expresses our vision brilliantly. He was happy to make a few changes and help us with other bits on our end. If we need to, it is still easy to get in contact with him. We have had so many compliments on our logo as it isn’t ‘messy’ or difficult to understand. And it looks brilliant painted on pallets!
