From the moment we heard about the idea behind Piccolo’s seeds – exemplified by the Slim Jim Aubergine and Spacemaster Cucumber, both dwarf varieties perfect for growing on balconies – we wanted to treat these unique seed packages like a collection of beautiful miniature books.
An Italian company offering select seeds for the space-limited – wanted us to find a new way of telling their story to urban gardeners everywhere.
Celebrating the way “good things come in small packages”, we created a logo made from seed-inspired dots arranged in a compact sieve-like roundel to emphasise the perfectly contained nature of the business.
We designed a set of intriguing colourful seed packages using our distinctively dotty illustrative system, contemporary sans serif typography and infographics, the overall effect conveying Piccolo’s inviting urban modernity.
