Atelier Alternative Architecture（多样建筑）于2017年由主持建筑师尹毓俊成立，位于深圳市南山区，华侨城创意园，是一家以研究建筑设计、城市设计和景观设计如何面对当下城市化现象，以创新的实践方法回应中国特有城市问题的实践+研究型事务所。

ATELIER ALTERNATIVE ARCHITECTURE 这个品牌名由三个不常用的英文单词组成，ATELIER意为工作室、事务所，ALTERNATIVE意为替代的、另类的、非传统的，ARCHITECTURE就是建筑。我们希望表达其英文整体性的同时，在不加入中文辅助的语境下，增加市场对于这个品牌的识别力。
因此我们用一条红线将三个单词的共同首字母A与单词后面的部分划分开来，使AAA得以凸显。这样即使有些客户对阅读整个品牌名字略有难度而有些尴尬，但也能轻易对AAA产生辨识和记忆点。3A成为了这个品牌中，大家心照不宣的一种传播力量。
红线是城市中划定项目边界、权利边界，虽然看不见但实际存在，界定城市、建筑边界的法定线，是建筑师每天要面对的诸多抽线边界之一。用红线作为设计元素，也是一个建筑师在面对创造性世界有形与无形边界的一种常性。

Atelier Alternative Architecture is founded by the host architect Yin Yujun in 2017. It’s located in the OCT Loft, Nanshan area of Shenzhen and it’s a practice+study office that respond to the specific Chinese urban issues in a creative and practical way by studying that how should architectural design, urban design and landscape design deal with the current urbanization phenomenon.

The brand of ATELIER ALTERNATIVE ARCHITECTURE is formed by three English words which are not often used. ATELIER（工作室） means studio and office; ALTERNATIVE（多样） means replaceable, unusual and unconventional;and ARCHITECTURE（建筑） is architecture. We wish to express the entirety of the English and meanwhile, to increase its identifiability for the market but in a context without the Chinese supporting.
Therefore we used a red line to divide the common first letter A from the rest of the words to exaggerate the three A letters. In this way, even there are some customers might have trouble reading or understanding the whole brand name, but it’s easy to identify and memorize the three A letters. 3A becomes a communicating power of this brand that’s tacit for everyone.
Red line is a line that delimits the boundaries of projects and powers which seems invisible but technically exists; red line is a legal line that delimits the boundaries of cities and buildings; red line is one of many line drawing boundaries that architects have to deal with every day. Using the red line as a designing element is a kind of perseverance that an architect has while facing the creative world of visible and invisible lines.
