Vector Illustrations for English Conversartions
During the COVID-19 period lock down in Nigeria, Mavis Computel began working on new projects which would help continue the drive for education in rural and less privileged areas around the country with less contacts of the teacher and students. With these projects we aim to improve the knowledge of English as a language within the rural areas. Vector illustrations were made to help visualize different scenarios and with the help of the engineering department, provision of audio channels were made to help each individual understand what to say during such every day scenarios.
Virtual Teachers were used as icons to help convey audio messages, ask questions and guide each student through the period of the course.
Two variations were used using models from our childhood primary school days.
All Illustrations scenes had a prototype before it was made to ensure we are conveying the proper everyday scene of the African (in particular, Nigerian) child from when he/she wakes up from bed and greets his family members to when the child is going back to sleep after the day.
