The illustrations refer to the reality of the People's Republic of Poland, which is the time when the action of all books takes place. Each of the items used in the illustrations is an icon of that period and its glory days are long over. The combination of photography and drawing gives the objects a new value, detaches them from the gray reality and takes them into the world of fast-paced action. The deformed line describes the exaggerated and grotesque world of Chmielewska's novel.
Due to the fact that this literature is read mainly for pleasure and humor, I chose pink as the main color, which is associated with lightness and good humor.
