I was commissioned to do this piece for a startup. The customer wanted a play on the lightbulb (lighting company) with the engineering symbol for luminous flux integrated (indicated in the design with the vertical filament section of the lightbulb silhouette, haloed by the blue circle, the color for which was settled on as electric blue). I integrated the three partners into the design, indicated with the three thread marks, which garnered an enthusiastic reception.  

Several more ornate designs were suggested, but the customer ultimately went with the more minimalist and industrial version here, which leaves room for branding improvisation in different themes in the future.
