Traditional Japanese Architecture and art influenced early modernis architects such as Frank Lyod Wright. During the seconf half of the 20th century Japan developed a new type of architecture called Metabolism, once again Japan became a shining example of imaginative architecture. During the summer of 2010 I photographed these futuristic buildings in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. 'Rise of Japan' tells the story of futuristic buildings juxtaposed against ancient temples and the current Japanese Architecture movement.
