HOMEGROWN HORRORS: THE LYNCHING TREE
Based on the chilling legend of New Jersey’s “The Devil’s Tree”.
The citizens of a small American town battle against a great evil brought to life by the bloodstains of its history. The chaos is viewed through the eyes of the children handing behind a boulder. They are prepare to render the final blow to the demonic tree.
Victory is in reach, however, the broken hatchets and axes of the past foretell a warning; what isn’t completely rooted out from our hearts will be inherited by our children.
As a personal fancy, I converted the piece into a mock graphic novel anthology cover.
