The Last Bacchanal - 2019
This frame was created over a two year period in-between working on other projects.
Oil based clay was used to sculpt this frame.
Small beads were added one at a time to the sculpture to create a background texture.
A wall was created around the sculpture before filling it with silicone rubber to create the mold.
Resin was used to fill the mold to create the frame.
Many smaller moulds were created to make all the elements.
Oil paints were used to create an ivory effect finish.
I ended up creating a second frame with a mirror in it.. The first had a painting in it.
