I took part in workshops held by the architectural “Foundation Young Culture Hopsiup”. The aim of the project was to design a kindergarten based on Scandinavian design, energy-efficient solutions, while respecting the principles of sustainable development. During the workshop in a group of students under the direction of polish -  danish architects we created presented below project.

The project was designated on the plot appointed by the organizers of the workshop  - in the southern district of Żoliborz (Warsaw). Work on the project began with a consultation with children. We learned how children perceive the space of the building, which spaces they would like to have in the building and which could disturb them.

Idea

The main objective of the project was to create a safe and friendly space for children. For this purpose we reduced the area surrounding the property from the south of the height of one storey. In the hollow we created a green space designed for learning and fun. Result of this approach is an interesting space for the children and an energy-efficient building.

Energy Efficiency

Glazing in the building have been designed in accordance with the concept of the energy efficiency. The highest percentage of glazing in the south, the smallest in the north. This approach affects the optimal use of solar energy for heating purposes.
