Crystallized

Whilst travelling through the landscapes of Sweden in the winter of 2018 I stayed in a place called Åre. A traditional mountain village best known for its ski resort status. To make sure the skiers have the best possible experience they use snow machines on the slopes to create the tracks. The particles that these machines create have their own way of flowing through the air due to the climate and wind. This results in buildings or objects being covered in the most unique way due to the particles that immediately crystallize. This creates a sort of brushed foam effect on the landscape, a man-made intervention that causes nature to paint its own unique scenery.
