NEOFIT EXERCISE ROLLER
The Neofit roller is the first of it's kind - an exercise roller that collapses to one third of it's size for easy storage and transport. Neofit has been successfully backed on Kickstarter and is now in development for manufacture. As the creative designer on the team my focus was on making this piece of complex engineering as user friendly and elegant as possible.
The original proof of concept required more than engineering refinement, it lacked usability consideration and shelf appeal. This thing looked scary, and it felt as spiky and awkward as it appeared. Using a combination of hand sketches and pattern exploration in illustrator I was able to develop an aesthetic for the roller that was both approachable and a pleasure to use.
