I originally made this painting in 2016, it quotes Francisco de Goya's Aquelarre, I decided to paint it again remembering the words of Odd Nerdrum; "a painting is never finished...".

During the eviction of the Bronx (bogota, colombia), a number of dantesque anecdotes of the place where revealed, leading me to think that in the places forgotten by God, the devil must be your friend, in addition to giving me a catharsis of how the colombian reality is so permeated with grotesque and madness, following postcolonialist history full of violence, crime and inequality.

Without any other remedy, through painting I can find me a refuge, at least to be a way of endure the overwhelming context of this country.
