The New Headquarter of Freeda

Interior Design
Stephanie Blanchard

"The client contacted me to re-design the interiors of their new building.
The goal was to make this minimal space a dynamic and stimulating multidisciplinary space: Freeda.
My desire was to create a space that could stimulate the people who would work in it, and let them feel comfortable and free to express themselves. Furthermore, being Freeda an agency that produces multimedia content on daily basis dealing with issues such as inclusiveness, freedom of expression and positive change, it was my intention to design areas that could be used as mini sets. That's why the colors are powerful as their energy, the shapes are rounded like their vision and the objects are bizarre and sophisticated as their creativity.

Stephanie asked me to create some specific tables for Freeda's new headquarter: 3 meeting tables , 2 "one to one" custom tables and 2 coffee table. I knew the company before, so after thinking about their vision and needs, I immediately decided to create unique pieces that could really express their vision. I chosed vibrant colors matching the walls and rounded shapes matching the environment to fit perfectly and create a balanced working area. All the designs took inspiration from artistic movements such as Art Deco and Pop Art, and of course the iconic works of Sottsass.

Our role was to capture the environment creatively.
After a detailed tour of Freeda's building, we perceived all the energy conveyed by the Art Director and the Designer. Teased by the challenge, we were stimulated to do something that fits the avant-garde Stephanie's style, using the awesome Nicolau's furniture.

Our idea focuses on animate some of the objects where people usually work with, making them the subject of our photography. The building lines create a nice contrast with the furniture, moreover, the environment was been exalted by the great mix of colors.
