Transformers is debuting the Spring/Summer collection, glorifying future optimism for this years FAD portfolio competition. The design brief stated the need for a forward looking focus, embracing both the advances and the pressures of modern life. Inspiration comes from The Futurists, the film The Transformers and last summer's Thomas Heatherwick exhibition and each individual element contributes to the notion of speed and the whirlwind that life is. We need everything now. We should have been there ten minutes ago. Or we need to be in two places at once. Women don't just need one handbag for the day, we need two. We need to be adaptable. Transformable. This is a luxury capsule collection of evening wear with a Sports Lux feel combining fun, beauty and practicality.
