Maria, Farewell is a short film and an exhibition about the demolition of Plaza Maria, a very special house in Södermalm, Stockholm. The exhibition took place 9th September 2011 in the emptied house just before the demolition.
Maria, Farewell is the kind of love letter that one writes when it is already too late, a desperate farewell and a longing to what ones was. Memories and every day life are woven togehter in the poetic narrative of a relationship between a woman and her home.
After the exhibition Maria, Farewell has been shown at Liljevalchs konsthall and acquired by the Stockholm City Museum.
