This photo is a DIY solar flare edited in PPT. To create the flare, I covered a mirror in wax and sprinkled drops of water. Then I placed the mirror next to the wall and used a cell phone to shine light across the surface of the mirror. The light creates flare-like reflections on the wall. I placed a second mirror at an angle to reflect more light onto the wall. This step enhanced the flares but is not crucial. I took the photo with a second cell phone. In PPT, I squished the wall edge to make the elliptical mirror reflection appear circular. Next, I trimmed the edges of the photo to remove the squished surroundings.
