"Double Elevation" Coffee Table
The "Double Elevation" provides a unique solution to everyday multitasking; preventing spillage disasters by relocating your morning coffee/tea.

The table top is made of Quarter Sawn White Oak, sanded to 1000 grit + oil finnished. The lowered planes are joined by finger joints. The steel frame is spot welded together, with a wax coat. Vessel molded with concrete.

courtesy goes to Otis College of Art and Design for their fabulous curriculum! Special thanks to Randall Wilson, Jason Burton, Adam O’Hern, Jonathan Fidler, Robert Hunt, Kristen Foster, and all my fellow classmates.
These are some of the sketches that I had done for this project. You can see the progression of ideas and the evolution of form, starting from the top left and finishing on the bottom right.

The images below are CAD models made on Rhino, rendered with V-Ray.
