Sanitabox | UVC Light Sanitizer

Sanitabox is not just a box - just might be the box that saves your life.

Our team has been experiencing the same anxieties as you and the rest of the world with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. And from the onset, we have been looking for ways to contribute to the improvement of people's lives at this stressful time. Thus, the idea of the Sanitabox was born as the world's first specific sterilizing appliance using ultraviolet light (UVC) technology for home and kitchen use.
No chemicals. Pure Light!

The Sanitabox brings state-of-the-art LED technology directly onto your home. Using 360º UVC (Ultra Violet C band) exposure, it can guarantee 99.99% sterilization in only 30 seconds. It’s an innovation we’re excited about. That level of sterilization used to take much, much longer.

In fact, it hasn’t even been that well harnessed in professional lab equipment – until now. The Sanitabox offers 8 levels of UVC exposure, from 30 seconds (for things like unpackaged items), up to 180 seconds, for things wrapped in plastic, or any other packaging.
Easy to use

There are 4 simple steps between you and a safe, sterilized home.

1- Put the things you need to sterilize into the SanitaBox and close the lid
2- Choose the exposure time.
3- For Plastic press and hold the selector button for 3 seconds and the new calculated time will be displayed.
4- Press start.

That’s it. The Sanitabox will let you know when it’s done. Fast, powerful and safe.

Sanitabox - Pure Light
UVC LED Technology

UVC LED technology is already used in a large variety of applications, including the food industry. With high performance UVC LED sources and equipment, water, air and surfaces can be reliably sterilized in a safe way, reducing our reliance on chemicals as a disinfectant. This technology provides us with an environmentally friendly sterilizer and sanitizer.

Based on multiple studies, UVC LEDs have shown to be effective on most bacterial micro-organisms, as well as viruses and molds. Ultraviolet LEDs with emission wavelengths between 280 nm and 286 nm destroy the DNA of all micro-organisms. Viruses, bacteria, yeasts and fungi are disabled in seconds.
Based on our research, there is evidence that UVC LED technology is effective against the virus causing COVID-19. Here is an extract from the research paper referenced below:
"The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) believes that UVC LED disinfection and sterilization technologies can play a role in a multiple barrier approach to reducing the transmission of the virus causing COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, based on current disinfection data and empirical evidence. UVC Leds are known to sterilize air, water and surfaces and so can help to mitigate the risk of acquiring an infection by coming into contact with the COVID-19 virus”.
The IUVA has assembled leading experts from around the world to develop guidance on the effective use of UVC LED technology, as a sterilization measure, to help reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. Established in 1999, the IUVA is a nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of ultraviolet technologies to help address public health and environmental concerns," says Dr. Ron Hofmann, Professor at the University of Toronto, and President of the IUVA.
It must be noted that “UVC”, “UV sterilization” and “UV” as used here and in the scientific, medical and technical literature, specifically and importantly refers to UVC LED energy (200-286nm light) in the germicidal range. This differs from the UVA and UVB used in tanning beds or sunlight exposure. UVC LED’s specifically between 200-286nm (UVC or the germicidal range), inactivates (‘kills’) at least two other coronaviruses that are near-relatives of the COVID-19 virus: 1) SARS-CoV-1 and 2) MERS-CoV. An important caveat is this inactivation has been demonstrated under controlled conditions in the laboratory. The effectiveness of UVC LED in practice depends on factors such the exposure time and the ability of the UVC LED to reach the viruses in water, air, and in the folds and crevices of materials and surfaces."
Our team of innovators are creating the world's first UVC LED sterilization appliance called the Sanitabox, a proprietary technology, which is intended for home use to sterilize food and equipment. The Sanitabox kills 99.99% of viruses and bacteria on fruit, vegetables, water bottles, shopping bags, packaged frozen food, nylon bags, food processing equipment and many other items that come into contact with humans.
Some of the key benefits of the Sanitabox:

• The consumer can immediately sterilize purchased goods and their packaging – there will be no need to wait hours for the viral count to reduce;
• Fruit, salads and vegetables can be immediately sterilized, without requiring washing in potable water;
• Items that need to be refrigerated can be immediately sanitized and put in the fridge.
• Given the avoidance of disinfectants and other chemicals, this will appeal to the more environmentally-conscious consumer.
While the use of UVC LED technology is not new, its application in the home is an innovation. This will be an indispensable device for households who prioritize the health and safety of their family. This could also be an important device for restaurants and hospitals to protect their customers and staff.
