SMALL VILLAGE CHAPEL ( 2006 )

One of the first projects I was commissioned after graduation was a small village chapel, a few miles away from my hometown. The local priest asked me for a pro-bono work/donation to their church consisting of its project, and I accepted the provocation.A provocation because the building was supposed to be built from available,local and cheap materials. The construction team was, again, made of local craftsmen, not necessarily professionals. So I decided to design a simple and affordable building, chose to use a bit of decoration just to spice up its rather conventional lines. I also redesigned a bit the garden and made some sugestions on other details of the building site. The chapel was completed in 2008 and it`s in use ever since.
