This editorial illustration was part of a series I was commissioned to create for Suitcase Magazine with their readership of 81,000 people, mainly females. The article is about a Londoner who wants to create more health and wellness in her life, but, she is skeptical of all the gurus and therapists out there. Non-the-less she embarks on a journey with all her emotional baggage to find enlightenment. 

Below is the initial thumbnail sketch that was presented and approved by the client. It's a conceptual illustration showing the literal and metaphorical emotional baggage that the central character carries with her. Above a healing crystal floats. She sits against the backdrop of the London skyline and is enveloped by a giant mandala. The character is rather skeptical of all the wellness methods trending but she wants to be proven wrong.
