Geodesic dome

The main goal of the seminars was to design and build a geodesic dome.
For this purpose, Grasshopper Software had to be used. At the
beginning, the sphere was geometrized in such a way that it consisted
of hexagons and triangles. Then the thickness of the elements forming
the whole installation was given. After choosing wood as the main
material, connectors were created between individual parts.
The next stage of work was to divide the elements into individual
components and cut them out using CNC.

Then began to build a physical model of the entire skeleton.
Wooden arches served as the main spans. The connectors were made
of wooden wheels with properly cut elements. The whole was connected
with zip ties.
