I always thought that music was the most all-embracing way of communication. Growing up in Georgia, the country of dance, music and hedonism, I was always surrounded by the most great pieces of music created by local composers and musicians. one of them was Giya Kancheli, whose work adorned almost every other soviet movie. Still, it was not long ago since I rediscovered the brilliance of the notes by him, when I rewatched some old, soviet Georgian movies. This lead to inspiration to create my personal tribute to him, to express gratitude for writing music, which is able to touch the depths of your soul. While I was working on this project and collecting information, I found that there was very little information about his legacy. So, I wanted to make something that would enable other people to uncover the true magician of music, Giya Kancheli, who could transform silence into magnificent sounds.
