The following project is a publication project that I did for the fictional make-believe cilent which happens to be the National Heritage Board of Singapore. The aim was to develop a stronger museum going culture amongst the youths and to make the idea of going to a museum fun and light-hearted. 

 

The whole idea of my work was to tap onto the museum identity in all of us. In other words, the publication is designed in a way where the reader can find out which museum appeals to them the best and which are the museums that they can relate to best. Hence personas were given to all 3 of the feautred museums in my publication. For instance, the Peranakan Museum was allocated the "Fashionista" persona as I personally felt like the museum had more to offer in terms of fashion and personal adornments. 

 

The three featured museums are the Peranakan Museum, the Singapore Philatelic Museum and MINT Museum of Toys. Below are some of my favourite spreads from the Peranakan Museum section.

Another element that I added into the publication was the interactive pages section where the reader were able to draw and write on the publication itself to make the publication more hands-on and interacitve which is what youths today respond the best to. 

Another distinct part of the publication would be the section with the inserts. This section features perforated pages where the reader can eventually tear out and form their very own museum guidebook where they can use on their trip to the museum. The museum guidebook features a simple floorplan of the museum, brief description of the museum's exihibitions, simple information and quick activities that they can do while they are at the museum.
