Chaos theory is a scientific theory about situations that follow particular patterns but appear to have little or no order. In a world characterized, even plagued by uncertainty similar to the world in which we exist at the moment, chaos theory provides us with comfort that no matter how strange or chaotic a particular situation seems, there will always be underlying patterns, governing the dynamic of such situation. Those orders serve as the guiding principles for our understanding of the world and determine the way we address issues that have severe implications all over the globe.
In the spirit of striving for global consensus on multiple chaotic issues that often follow certain hidden common rules, DYMUN’20 staff board has decided to choose “Chaos Theory: The Underlying Pattern” as the theme for DYMUN’20.
