Type Specimen: Mrs Eaves

Mrs Eaves
Type Specimen.

Mrs Eaves is a revival from Baskerville. The paper inside is a delicate handmade Italian lightweight with off-white tones. The pattern on the cover is slightly smaller than the inside pattern. This pattern was created using Mrs Eaves symbols and ligatures. The book's sleeve is made out of burgundy pleather to give it the old look, but keeping it modern with a small die cut to show off one pattern. Pleather was chosen instead of real leather to represent her history and life changes. The sleeve protects her delicate cover serving the purpose of her exterior skin protecting her from harm.  Although she might look rough and genuine on the outside, the inside is what is beautiful, from the paper to the printing technique.

The book is a french fold with perfect bound. To help the binding, holes were drilled and nails were hammered to make the book long lasting. This helps the book give it a modern twist to its history tale.
