A project called Nook. I was asked to design a shelter, a toilet and a cooking place for St:Olovs path. St:Olovs path is a pilgrame that stretches from Sundsvall 500 km west to Norway. The idea was to create a place for the pilgrimers to rest after walking long distances in harsh weather.
In my design I was inspired to create something based on the surrounding natures terms. The structure is built from salvaged wood from the area. The roof collects rainwater and is equipped with a solar panel. The cooking area generates heat in the resting unit. The toilet is self maintenace old school style. To make a ecological footprint on natures terms.
