The graphic takes inspiration from the trees lying right at the heart of GlogauAIR's garden. They remains still and stable throughout the constant change going on at GlogauAIR. The roots are deeply ingrained in the ground - the onsite / foundation in Berlin, while the branches grow up into the sky expanding our community beyond.

The early draft looks into the formation of the trees. The routes, the trunks / skeleton of the trees (formed of years of tree circles) and the branches which reach up into the sky expanding the community & generating energy.

Draft: tree circles, trunks, branches and roots

Every year, as the tree form new cells, it add a new ring to its trunk. Each ring indicates one season of growth, several of which make up tree circles - the period throughout which GlogauAIR has been founded and cultivated into its current state.

Branches make up a net for sunlight, they grow up into the sky to generate energy. These symbolize virtual connection, expanding GlogauAIR's community beyond geographical boundaries.

The roots have two basic functions: structure and feeding. While the branches reach out, referring to the expansion (of going virtual), the roots stabilize and represent the foundation (of being on-site).
