Bamboo Framed Sunglass

SHADEs.  This studio photography project was during the Lighting I course, Week 6, Assignment: Small Product with Graduated Background. During this course, we are continuing to familiarize ourselves with our studio lighting equipment to include modifiers and softboxes. This exercise also emphasizes the use of additive (add light to shadows and/or to create small areas of highlights within the picture) and subtractive (reduce highlight density and/or darken our shadows) lightings.  For the project, we are assigned to shoot for an XYZ Advertising Agency’s small product promotion. I happened to have a sunshade by SwitchWood, a small company who makes several high end product including the sunshade to serve as my subject. I had chosen this partially because it is already an interesting piece with good lines and colorful that would look striking in a photograph. The bamboo glass casing also has great textures to showcase and highlight the beautiful aesthetics of the products.
