Some highlights from year five of 'things you can look at with your eyes', an everyday project in which I create one piece of artwork each day on my instagram account. In year five, I continued the momentum from year four and continued down the rabbit hole of 3D rendering, character design and animation. I've described each section of year 5 with the ideas I wanted to play with in each medium for #thingsyoucanlookatwithyoureyes. Enjoy! 

To start, I played around with representing some of my favourite movies with 3D renders, starting with my favourites of all time and then funneling into some of the Disney movies in addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I've always been enamoured with how technologically complex and artistically creative the MCU movies have been over the years.

After the dive into the MCU, I decided to represent some of the most well-known (and my favourite) Disney and Pixar movies. 

With the Disney movies out of the way, I decided to try my hand at some character design - I would start with a sketch or a rough idea of the character, and then sculpt and model that character using Cinema 4D.

With year 5 being the year that The Mandalorian was released on Disney Plus, Baby Yoda was all the rage at the time, so I finished out the year doing some ridiculously fun animations of Baby Yoda dancing. Enjoy!
