Project created for the contest D&AD New Blood Awards 2020, for the HSBC's brief.
The brief was to produce a GIF or illustration showing HSBC values at an airport. The challenge was to move away from the usual photographic format used by HSBC for its advertisements.
We chose to focus on the social and sensitive side of the brand, the beauty of the world and the diversity of its landscapes. We have produced 3 animations that compare two landscapes with anecdotes HSBC could give.
At the end of these videos, the question "And you, where are you going to?" appears with examples of hashtags presenting places to visit. Visitors would have the opportunity to share photos of their travels on social medias with these hashtags. Then, the HSBC public relations team would send a message to the person with a tip, a place to see or a comforting note (similar to the anecdotes in the GIF).
These motion designs would be placed in different strategic areas of the airport such as the waiting area, food and beverage areas, the boarding area and the arrivals hall.
