While in class I was able to engross myself in many issues management situations during a semester long practicum. Put into groups and assigned a real world company we encountered a variety of issues and were required to put forth crisis communication tactics and messaging.

I had the opportunity to be assigned CBI Health as our company and was able to emerge myself in the health care sector. Researching the company we diagnosed various issues that could arise within the company.

We focused on the issue of human euthanasia as our main issue for the semester, giving us a hard task to take on.

Going through the steps of identifing an issue to diagnosing our stakeholders, to presenting to those various publics, to creating a position statement we went about dealing with the issue.

Our first step was writing a position statment and key messages and then presenting to our employees via a company newsletter, presentation, and FAQ page on our website.
