This is a painting of a village called Sankri at the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand. I went there for a trek in April and was resting in one of these “doll” houses (they were really small), after a long and tiring trek. The place was beautiful and it felt really peaceful when I was looking at the view in front of me, watching the women in the village doing their chores. I wanted to capture that feeling of peacefulness and awe I experienced at the moment. Size: A3; Year: 2018; Medium: watercolor and pen
