There's just a lot of room for what lifestyle can be about, but the ones featured in the illustration captures pretty much how most people are digitally immersed. Oversized gadgets emphasises the importance of technology in our "new normal" or "abnormal" lifestyle.
This is the reality of the economy, it's a tug-o-war between the pandemic for everyone. From SMEs to the big businesses, as well as for low wage workers. No one is exempt from pulling the economy, everyone is struggling to bring back the economy and there's no other way but becoming united in this biological war.
This pandemic opened doors for home-cooked meals sold online through different social media platforms. Fresh produce from Benguet farmers brought by and helped by the Filipino youth be brought in the city through Bayanihan. Who can guess the aftertaste of this situation. Hoping for the best.
This is surely disrupting and something new to the sector. As I was conceptualising for this illustration, I can't help but think and feel for the underprivileged. Moving forward, learning must never stop, just like the seedling in this illustration, this is just the beginning of a new chapter for the children. Will they strive to pass?
Badly hit industry, what required presence and interaction are all of a sudden put to halt. This is Nikka Maxino- Bagasan's concept, empty sets, closed museums and empty sets. Colored by Monica Ong, the vibrant parts signify life in the digital platforms. This is how it is for now, survival mode. Not yet Fin.
